There are two Parisian EMs, E.Malcuit and E.Monier, which I will deal with on this same page.

E. Malcuit

Malcuit originally mainly produced monochrome "suburb" view cards with a marque E.M. in ordinary type added at the end of the title. These were produced from 9 rue Dupuis. The 1909 directory also contained an entry for Monier but his entries up to WW1 do not quote any marques. This may not have been E. Monier. There was also a C Malcuit in Paris at this time, with no obvious connection, see under the CM logo.

The Malcuit entry reappears postwar under the aegis of successors Rozard and Testard at 41 rue Faubourg du Temple, Paris. Both Mallcuit and Monier seem to claim the E.M. marqure around this time.

Monier (E)

Monier used "drawn" rather than print letter marques; Flor, E.M. and Odéon. I haven't seen any of the latter, they would be difficult to spot as "Odéon" appears on so many cards featuring stars who performed there. EM is one of the marques which has some WW1 cards marked on the address side "Établissements Photographiques de Boulogne-sur-Seine" or by Piprot, perhaps the same thing. Other wartime EM cards were marked "Chipault et Cie, Boulogne-s/-Seine"

In more recent times, topographic cards with the Flor logo have been produced by Marceau Carrière, Niort.
