This firm produced other political cards. In the example, recognisable figures are: yellow - King Alfonso XIII, Spain; green - Kaiser Wilhelm II, Germany); red - President Émile Loubet (1899 to 1906) France; blue - King Edward VII (UK). Alfonso eventually married Edward's niece Princess Victoria Eugenie of Battenberg, a granddaughter of Queen Victoria. There is a card showing the couple in this collection under the
MP Madrid logo.
The second example, an illustration by Georges Dorival, lacks "Paris" in the logo but is from the same publisher - similar cards have the H.C. Paris logo and also exist in undivided form.
