PBH and PHB

These logos are rather similar. Both marques circulated in France and have models used by the Berlin publishers, including Grete Reinwald.

J Courcier lists PHB as one of his marques in his 1914 directory listing. But he doesn't include an image. On the other hand, card PBH carries the legend Marque JC on the address side.

Card PBH 6034 (posted 1915) has "ER PARIS" printed on the address side, showing the card was printed or published by E Rabus at this time.

In the UK, WW1 stopped trade with Germany, and caused changes in ownership of German subsidiary companies. The same must have happened in France.
