J.Taupin, Paris

Taupin took over from Compte & Cie, which already used a pansy logo with CC in the petals.

The Taupin directory entries show the pansy logo, and also the word Pensée. It isn't clear whether this is just the name of the flower, or a claim for the trademark "La Pensée" as well - a mark which is claimed and used by Baudinière at 23 rue du Caire Paris. The Taupin cards seem only to show the flower logo.

CPArame shows another publisher with a violet or pansy as logo (Saint-Martin-sur-Oreuse - éditeur Poulain-Rocher) but the details of the logo and the type of postcard shown are fairly different.
